Freelander 2 -- Problem with door locking

Hello friends, in my 2007 Freelander 2 model E, I recently had to change the driver's door lock actuator, since it did not open the door with the remote control and I had to do it with the key. Yes I closed it, but then you couldn't open it again using the remote control.

After this I have noticed that now the car does not beep when you close and leave that door open, it does not detect when you are driving and you open the door, and it does not detect when you open the car and only open that door as open, since after a while without opening any more doors it closes the car again.

I have also noticed that the interior light does not turn on when I open the door and it does not show the door open message either.

I bought a replacement part on Amazon that is compatible with the reference of mine, and the closing/opening problem has been solved, but now I have the error that I mentioned.

I don't know if this actuator contains the mechanism that detects how the door is, or if it is mechanical or electronic. When you remove the panel there is a control unit, but I don't know if it is something related to the closure.

Any help or suggestions?

Thanks in advance!!

Hello, thanks for the response.
I have searched for the term indicated in the manuals and I don't quite understand what exactly I have to do. I have also seen several posts where they talk about this and they have solved it in different ways, one had to clone his cbm.

According to what it says in the manual, each closing actuator has its own Ajax door switch, so I would like to think that when changing it I have to reprogram something.

Can you expand a little more or give me some clue? thank you!!

In the Wiring Diagrams on pages 3090 - 3093 you will see the see the various Door Latches and the wiring/pin numbers of the signal 'AJAR'.

From your description of things not working with the suspect door it sounds like the Central Control Module is not recognising changes in the (Door) Ajar signal. Check and compare signals at pin level with 'Good' Doors. This should prove if the fault lies in the Door Module or Wiring. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
