Thanks Mel.
Please can you give a few more details.

Does Sport Mode work at all, does it change down and become more responsive when you select?
or
Is it only when you try to manually shift up and down the gears?

When was the last time it worked, and can you remember changing anything, or any other problems at the same time?

Any OBD Error Codes?

Does the Gear Selector feel normal?

And yes it is a rare fault. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Hi,
It doesn’t work at all, the gear lever moves to the left and moves up and down but thats it, no gear indication on the display and has been like it since I had the car.

thanks.

If you are getting no Dashboard indications of 'S' or any Gear Numbers, then it must be loss of signals from the selector area or damage to wiring/plug, OR (most likely) Sensors.

As far as I know there is only one Bowden Cable for the fore and aft gear-lever movement, that mean the other positions must have Sensors.
These are most likely Hall Effect relying on magnetic effect and may be damaged.

I think you need to remove the Gear-Lever Surround and have a good look for damage.
I haven't found a diagram or pictures, but suspect the sensors will be integrated with the Terrain Module somehow.

I hope that a Forum Member reading this will have been in this area and can give you further clues.

This Video may help with physical removal. --Good Luck--

Thanks, I have changed the gearstick as a whole no difference so I think I will look at the loom and the traction control.

thanks again.
