How do I add tension to this? When I release it to open the sun roof it doesn't open all the way so I have to help it.

It's not the sunroof, it's the blind that goes under it.

Yes, I understood your query, the clue was in your title.

mine did exactly the same earlier in the year. I pulled it forward and back a load of times and it seemed to cure itself - like already stated probably something on the tracks (a shredded fly thats gone through the wind deflector perhaps??) |

Oh ok, I was under the assumption that you thought I meant the glass itself. My bad.

The blinds are a nightmare to get at since the roof lining needs to drop down, at least enough to get a screwdriver in at each end. I'd certainly try some lubrication first, perhaps after cleaning out the old stuff. I'm guessing you've got some pretty big flies in Texas - might be a few mashed in with the old grease! |

Mine don't open all the way either. I have to open/close fast to get them to open all the way. I haven't messed with them that much though. |

Yeah, flies are big, so are the buzzards... I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop.

Simple job then no need to trouble the dealer with such a minor adjustment

Yeh, but your buzzards are Turkey Vultures which are conciderably larger than our little buzzards Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

Has anyone done this? I started to do it the other day but when I looked at removing all the pillars with the airbags in them I decided I'd better just check on here first.

Mine shot back one morning when leaving work. It made such a loud bang, frightening me in the process that I thought I'd hit something. Anyway, on investigation found it was f**ked and it just came out on it's own minus 1 plastic slider at the n/s front. Now I have a gaping hole where the blind used to be. Cheapest replacement was on eBay at £200 !!!. At that price I can do without it. |

Yeah, its a bit of a pain. I still have the blind and it looks intact. but those instructions and the airbags in the pillars have put me off doing anything with it yet... |
