Having a bit of hassle getting the haldex out of my freeby.
Undid the front plate so the prop would swing a bit.Got the 6 bolts out of the front of the haldex.
Then when i got to the bigger electrical plug,I managed to break the clip that holds it in place.
At that stage I gave up. Put the 6 bolts back in and did the front sector back up as well.
I've pushed the plug back in. Until I get a replacement plug (does anyone know what the name/number of the plug is).
Took it for a quick spin to make sure everything is normal again....it is.
A couple of questions..
1. Do you guys get the exhaust out of the way?
2. Do you undo the section where the front prop and 2nd sector joins as well.
Just thought I'll put a zip tie on the plug so that it stays put.
Any helpful hints welcome.

I dropped the middle prop bearing support, moved the exhaust over and slackened off the rear diff support so it can tip downwards at the front. Jules

I drop the centre and front propshaft bearing carriers which gives just about enough space to get the haldex out. Jules suggestion of lowering the support frame is probably helpful, I'll bear this in mind for next time. 👍
Plastic retaining clip broke on my large electrical connector too first time I took it off as well. Its a tight fit however and doesn't come loose or off on its own. Hasn't needed to be replaced. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

The clip on my large Haldex plug also broke when I first serviced it about 3 years ago. It been held in place with a cable tie since with no adverts issues.
I fear the world would stop without cable ties. I even have reusable ones now😂😂😂.

I only had my smaller plastic ramps when I tackled it and it was a tight space to work under. grrr
I'll have to get my steel ramps off my mate who borrowed them the other week to work on his old beast (falcon wagon). At least I'll be able to get a bit more swing then when undoing-doing up.

Snap - literally I did the same - wedged a bit of cable tie inside to keep it tight on- not fallen off - yet ! Jules

My plug was broken when I got mine nearly 4 years ago, it's never come out on its own. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

Common theme here. Mine snapped last year but has remained tight and not fallen out yet.
