Australia 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Alaska White
New to me FL2 after a RR TD6

Just drove down from sunny, but crime ridden Gold Coast down to northern Tasmania in my new to me Freelander 2 diesel with a stop over in the madness of Sydney.
After the lush ride of the RR I was surprised how agile ,quiet and comfortable the little beast is.
Putting on just over 2000K's the beast hummed along beautifully and I got 6l/100k which is pretty good in my book sitting on around 110-115kph.
I look forward to many happy miles in my beast.

Good to see one in a proper colour. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

My TD6 was Epsom Green. It stood out wherever I parked it lol.
Didnt want the boring grey that they came in. Yawn

Scotland 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

My Disco1 was Epsom green. Fantastic colour.
when i decided to move to a Freelander i just missed out on an Epsom Green Freelander2.
Settled for Stornoway Grey which SWMBO likes, so no complaints about colour.
I do like white though. Jim A

England 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Fuji White

Here in Blighty hard water shows up limescale marks on very dark coloured paintwork which is why I chose White as it dries without marks when washed, 2013 FL2 XS.

If you want to make the car quieter, a couple of suggestions here:

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Zermatt Silver

In the 90’s white cars were frowned on . They were seen as poverty spec . Our works fleet buyer hated them as they had low residuals . Then it all changed . I think white is THE colour to have . It looks great on every LR ever made , I had a smashing County 90 in Alpine White . The pearl white on my last Audi and current Scooby were / are sublime . There is also a serious safety side to white , even the myopic can see a white motor . I lost count of the number of times I had cars pull out on me in the black and metallic greys and dark silver cars I owned . Even DRLs made no difference when the cars were ‘ road coloured ! Long live white ! 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

2016 Subaru Outback SE 2.0 diesel SE Premium Lineartronic Sold 2024 after 8 years and 80k miles . Best Car I ever owned !

Down under, people used to buy white as they are a bit cooler. Now with air conditioning people are not so worried, or more likely forgotten ancient wisdom! I see it as anything to help the heat situation is good when it's mid to high forty degrees celsius.

When we bought the Freelander the insurance was a touch cheaper for white cars as they are seen a bit easier & have slightly less accidents.

But we got white for heat issues, also got a light interior so you don't burn yourself on the seat in summer. Had that with other peoples black interiors. Bloody painful. Black seat, +60°C inside & "budgie smugglers" = sterility!

Wanted cloth seats, but all that was sold was leather, & half of its plastic anyway. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Have always liked cars in "white", didnt matter what brand they were they just looked right.
Plus as others have said, they dont get the heat build-up in our "hot" summers in OZ as other colours do.

They are cooler inside! We can leave the windows open a touch for ventilation with wind shields, so not really visible.

(Don't leave windows open more than 5cm in Queensland, could be as expensive as $2874.00)

& white cars never show the dirt!

Or possibly why people in the outback have proper coloured cars!

Other solution!
