Cheers but I'd already done a search but couldn't find any relating to changing a prop cv joint πŸ‘

The Driveshaft starts around the page 300 area.

The CV joints on the propshaft are considered part of the shaft assembly, so you'll struggle to find replacements. Additionally unless you have the correct tools to swage the end caps on, the grease will simply leak out scrapping any new joint you may find.

Unfortunately it's the modern way, for items like this to be disposable.
The whole propshaft isn't that expensive, considering how large it is. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.
Hyundai Ionic 5 Ultimate on order.
Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE.

Hi, what is the problem with the propshaft ? I also have a Freeelander 2 form 2011 and I suspect propshaft. When I drive al low speeds there is a noise like a stick between the spoke of a bicycle wheel. Some times it dissapears. I have removed the propshaft and the noise is gone. I do not know what is the problem and if it can be sorted out by repairing the propshaft or buy another one.

I found an easy 'fix' mate. I had it on a ramp at work and i was pulling the propshaft joints etc looking for play. I then grabbed the prop at the rear and checked for play forward and backwards. Moved it very abruptly.

Since then the noise has gone ! 6 months without the noise. I suspect that there was a dry joint.

Like a loud rotational 'ping'. Imagine a stick hitting the prop and the noise get faster with speed

As Nodge says the propshaft and CV joints are all one unit.

Are you sure it’s not just a heat shield that has got bent and is rubbing on the prop shaft? I had that after some green laning and a river crossing.
