Hi guys,
Has anyone successfully fixed a problem with heated front screen. Both sides not working. What I can gather, its a complex issue.

Mine has never worked I researched it on here and decided it’s too much monkey business.

Have you checked the fuse?
Did you have a stone hit the screen  Common sense isn't very common.

2007 Land Rover Freelander2 I6 hse Auto

I have not yet tackled this, but understand that the screen is split. At the bottom of the screen on each side are two metallic strips, which plug into the loom.

They are accessed from under the windscreen wiper arms and their attendant plastic 'tray', which runs the width of the engine bay and is easily removed.

The two metallic strips are 'hinged' and it seems that this hinge often breaks down over time. Metallic glue should fix it.

Check there is power at the screen connectors. If there's no power check the relay and fuse.
If there is power at the screen connector, then replace the screen.

I definitely wouldn't be without my heated screen, it was on my "must have" list when looking for a Freelander. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

No, only higher models had the heated front screen as standard, lesser models had to have them specified when the vehicle was ordered, as part of the winter pack. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

In my 'Owner's handbook' MY13 or later. Fuses F34 40amps left side & F35 40amps right side, in the engine compartment fuse box. A 30 second job to clarify, unlike the passenger fuse box where one needs to be a contortionist, Houdini & 3' 10 & a 1/4"! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
