OK, that all makes sense now. The parts diagrams don’t show it as looking like that though! (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

That's what confused me Badger.
Had to take it to bit's to find out.
Bit of a chew- on but that part is done and new turbo is in. Just have the rest of the stuff to put back when I'm finished messing about. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Hi Shiggsy

If you look closely at the photos, the new bolt and filter are to one side. The oil supply pipe is shown with the original banjo bolt in situ and the original filter is shown just sticking out.
To be honest, once blasted with brake cleaner, the old one looked as good as new. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.
