My FL2 has started to Display "Gearbox Fault - Traction Reduced" at 58661 miles. Display resets itself with ignition, but returns within the first few minutes of driving.

As car is under an Extended Warranty, I have booked it into Main Dealer to sort out, although I was surprised that I have a 5 week wait for the service appointment.

Tried my 'cheap' OBD reader, but no codes showing?

Edit - Just for the record - I can confirm that my FL2 has lost rear wheel drive as front tyres are scrabbling on loose surfaces on pulling away from standstill.

Edit - What happened next - Whilst waiting for my garage appointment - the fault re-occurred within the first few minutes of each journey for about 2 weeks, then, it disappeared. - After 3 weeks of normal fault free running I have cancelled garage and will mention what happened when my car is serviced in late June. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 76k+ miles) (MY2015)

Got round to getting these fitted using brackets from here, jury is still out on how good the lights are although they do make a difference

https://www.beavispits.com/product-page/sp...front-pair

the brackets are 3D printed, well designed, easy fit although you need small hands to get behind the grill but they dont required mods to the grill or framework behind.

Just had 4 new Pirelli Scorpion Zeros fitted, they were the same before and had no issues with them. Must admit I rather like the tread pattern as well, worked out at about 125 pounds a corner, so not too bad. They have a wet/rain rating of B which is better than some other Pirelli alternatives, that are also LR OE spec. Nice thing is one old 4.5mm tyre was moved to be on the spare so man maths worked out that having 5 same tread tyres saved me money somehow. They are 235/60r18 103v as before. Was through Kwikfit here in Exeter Summerlands, so I got 2 hours city centre parking for free. With that saving it surely means I can now go to the Powerfuluk shop...

A few jobs done this weekend...

Reat spoiler fitted

Wire brushed the wheel arches. Rust convertor put on thr bare metal. Then used bilt hamber electrox to prime, then 2 coats of loire blue base and lacquer. Hopefully keep any chips or rot at bay!

Lastly, on the other thread, ive been changing the rear brakes. Turns out 3 out of 4 sliders were seized. O e of them so badly that it snapped on the carrier, so awaiting a new carrier being delivered...

MOT passed with no advisories. It’s been almost two and a half years since it’s last test due to COVID. DVLA kept giving me extensions. The car just had a quick look over by a local Indy and needed absolutely nothing done to it. Happy days.

Service and MOT (105475 miles). Only issue loose rear heat shield rattling on exhaust. Problem solved by removing Heat shield.

Removed the sagging headlining to get it recovered!

What a pain, & why LR hot glued the wiring to it, rather than attaching it to the bodywork I’ll never know.
