Removed the sagging headlining to get it recovered!

What a pain, & why LR hot glued the wiring to it, rather than attaching it to the bodywork I’ll never know.

Refitted the now re-covered headlining & all the associated trim panels, what a difference & great value at AU$175 in my opinion.

"Thought you upgrading Confused "

I am but not being able to see out the back window wasn't particularly safe!

Also, as my cousin has said he'll buy it, I kind of feel a bit obligated Smile (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

My FL2 has started to Display "Gearbox Fault - Traction Reduced" at 58661 miles. Display resets itself with ignition, but returns within the first few minutes of driving.

As car is under an Extended Warranty, I have booked it into Main Dealer to sort out, although I was surprised that I have a 5 week wait for the service appointment.

Tried my 'cheap' OBD reader, but no codes showing?

Edit - Just for the record - I can confirm that my FL2 has lost rear wheel drive as front tyres are scrabbling on loose surfaces on pulling away from standstill.

Edit - What happened next - Whilst waiting for my garage appointment - the fault re-occurred within the first few minutes of each journey for about 2 weeks, then, it disappeared. - After 3 weeks of normal fault free running I have cancelled garage and will mention what happened when my car is serviced in late June.

Still OK - touch wood - FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

^^^ Did you get this fault while you had the OBDII plugged in while operating the vehicle? If you did and there was a beep and then this fault popped up briefly on the display, it could be that the OBDII reader and whatever protocol you are using to read the output lost communication with the OBDII port. Otherwise, a low battery could certainly cause this issue as well.

The mechanic fitted the dlr fog lights from powerful Uk today. Looks good and hopefully more noticeable.

Filled mine yesterday, no obvious sign though of the Chancellors reduction, although wasn’t really expecting the fuel companies to pass it on.
Wasn’t my usual station so perhaps prices had been dropped? 176.9? Paid 171.9 elsewhere last week

Sid
I am surprised that the Chancellor did not appear and offer to fill your tank up himself.

From what I saw on TV earlier in the week he his roaming around petrol forecourts and offering a free £30 worth of fuel.

Luckily I live near the local ring road so can keep an eye out for his film crew.

AND

OUCH !!

This afternoon I managed to put my first scratches on to my FL2 today.

Whilst turning my car around I skimmed past a gatepost and have caused a 2 inch long indentation to my nearside rear wheel arch. T cut has removed gate paint from car successfully, now the more difficult damage repair. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Perhaps if you’d not be looking out for Sunaks film crew you’d have not hit that post Wink
Ps, bumped into him myself earlier today and claimed my £30 Thumbs Up
