Front parking sensors going crazy...

Hi all,

There is a nearly constant beep or at least lots off beeping all the time from the front parking sensors when sensors are activated. I have tried to clean/wash the sensors thoroughly and also added some WD40 to all connectors and wiggle them without any change.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated Smile

It’s usually water in them that causes problems.

OK. Can they be dried out in a way, or is it replace the faulty sensor?

When I’ve pressure washed the car and they don’t work correctly I’ve just let them dry over time. If your sensor is faulty it will need replacing.

Hi,

you can Hear if a sensor is working by listening for a clicking sound from it, you have to put your ear completely over the sensor to hear it though Whistle

also check to see if each sensor is secure in the housing it clips into and that the housing is secure in the bumper if either has any movement the sensor can "see" something really close Laughing

if you know anyone with an IID they can plug it in and see the sensors working actually shows a distance for each pdc working
(well mine did Cool )

Thumbs Up .
my first ever FL2 and I did keep it longer than most other cars!
But its now gone way up Norf
