intermittent DRL fault..

Hi all..
Sering a strange issue with the drivers side drl not coming on when the car is unlocked although the pax side comes onEven when the car is started and drl or sidelights mode is selected it stays off.. But... if I pop the lights to headlights or auto mode it comes on... all a bit weird!

If I start the car without the brake so ignition comes on with no engine start and then turn off and start properly both drls come on... think that's a light ecu reset but I can't do that every time.

So the bulbs and connection are deffo ok as it can switch on....

Only other thing is I replaced the standard hb3 headlight bulbs with a new hb3 led headlight bulb set... same wattage etc and they work fine...problem arose after the swap. Reverting yo the original halogen hb3 bulbs makes zero difference....

Anyone seen this little snag before?
Cheers
