I did my last trip in my Fl2 today . I loaded it up and went to the tip after breakfast.
I’m currently selling my house , and looking to the future I had a house clearance man in at lunchtime to quote on getting rid of unwanted furniture etc . To cut a long story short the chap who came to quote asked if I’d any cars to sell . It’ had been my wife’s car for 10 years . It’s 15 months since my wife passed with cancer , and having taken her private plate off the car 3 months ago , I was starting to think it’s the right time to let it go . On the spur of the moment I said yes .
It wasn’t a showroom Queen , but mechanically at 69k it will be good enough for someone to run for another year or two before the great scrapper in the sky beckons .

I guess the Scooby will get some extra mileage , and if all goes to plan I’m going to look out for a Hilux , Navara , or Ranger before the pheasant season kicks in . I have also waved goodbye to the FL2 a couple of days ago, enjoyed owning and driving it but the time was right to sell... for £2500 more than I paid for it 2 years ago
Its a funny old world!

With the arrival of ULEZ in a few months time, we're going to be paying out every time we cross the boundary of the South Circular which is just two mile away so have been giving thought to having to get rid of ours, but what to replace it with is the question?
Long term plan is to move away from here, so perhaps work around the ULEZ until then is the answer. Decisions decisions.
