If its coming from under the car near the back wheels that's the parking brake....mine does that. If its coming from the front of the car under the bonnet thats the throttle body which is normal. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

It's from the front of the car, why does it make that noise for so long, long another subject I'm also getting a message saying battery low and that the system will shut down in 1 minuite, I replaced the battery Aug 2018 could that be the problem |

I think it’s the throttle body shutting down ? Perfectly normal and yes it will be the battery needs charging or replacing. |

That message always comes up if you just have the Ignition on and the engine not running after 5 minutes or so....it is a pain if you just want to listen to the radio. its to save battery power but, its normal. For the winding sound its normally the throttle body readjusting itself after you've shut the engine off but that normally only last for a few seconds. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

There is the same noise from mine, an electrical component of some sort before the car goes to sleep. Nothing to worry about. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I'm just wondering if whatever is that makes the noise causes a drain on the battery and after my battery being about 3 years old it's causing and message saying battery low system will shutdown |

I just called landrover and they said that the battery part code is lro 38218 are there comparable batteries that would suit a 2014 sd4 freelander 2 that battery is a 80ah just wondering it I could fit a heavy duty battery is that would solve the low battery alarm when starting the car |

I recently fitted a Yuasa YBX9115 from Tanya batteries to my 2014 Manual TD4 with stop/start - other often used option is a Varta F21 I believe.
