Strange dragging feel and noise during slow speed turning

I have had this issue for years and haven't got to the bottom of it.

Sometimes (when I notice that is, as gotten used to it) when in a car park doing slow speed cornering or turning onto my drive, I get the feeling that I am dragging my rear wheels (not rolling or following smoothly) along with a grinding noise. It happens so fast and its only present for a few seconds but it is noticeable and annoying. On normal bends etc no problems whatsoever.

Ive checked a lot of things and had mechanics look at various components but have not come up with a solution so who better to ask? (Freel2.com) Very Happy

Am I to think that its either the haldex? rear differential? tyres? or a wheel bearing perhaps?

Thanks for that. Very interesting threads and would most definitely point to the haldex. Some time ago a mechanic did change the oil but filter/O ring??? No Censored

AFAIK the only way to get the haldex oil out is the unbolt it from the rear diff. There is no drain and I dont think its possible to get all the old oil by sucking it out through the filler hole. Jules

Haldex internally failed.
