The armrests on my HSE Diesel Freelander 2 are an irritant. Can they be removed ? |

The arm-rests on mine have never been out of the vertical, out-of-the-way position. If they didn't come as standard on the HSE I wouldn't have added them.

Its the cheap looking adjuster wheel on the end that spoils the look of them, my tractors have better designed armrests than LR ones, with the adjuster hidden away on the underneath of the armrest. At work |

Having driven my HSE for 12 months and then going into a courtesy 'S' spec model for a week I couldnt believe how uncomfortable it is without the armrests! My arm kept dropping into the handbrake when I was driving - wouldnt have been too bad if the FL2 had a centre console armrest to lean on but without an armrest of any description I found the driving position very uncomfortable! So people in red and grey cars slouch (so nobody can see them) and therefore need armrests. Black owners sit up proudly and need no such thing |
