The two usual hoses to go:

The short one connecting to bottom of TB. This connects to a hard plastic section, which connects to the 2nd one that normally goes that connects to the intercooler.

Take them both off and give them good squeezing as splits can hide pretty well in situ.

Has your turbo overboost error come back since doing the TB?

As you can see this result was recorded yesterday, so there was a lot of pulling of plugs and pipes to identify the cause of surging and throttle control.
I put it down to severe gumming up of the intake manifold and pipes.
Last thing yesterday there were no faults , yet this showed up and didn’t clear.

Found the problem , thanks .
The small pipe below the TB was split.

Could go for blanking plate on EGR (cheap on ebay, easily reversible, no worries on a 2008) but unsure how thorughly they check for that for MOT in the UK these days.

Thought I would put some more lines to this story . The car has passed the Mot , yes but is still intermittant especially when cold , I have put this done to the fact that the EGR is still a bit chOKED FROM 2YRS OF GUNGE. What has changed this is the fitting of the vacuum pipes and new solenoid, which I found disconnected along with the throttle body electrical connector . Maybe the easiest answer was just to blank everything off , but hey ho!
There are still some surging at low speeds , so how easy is it to get access to this.
