Yes, good video and definitely makes you want one!

But in my experience, the old Defender would still be rattle-free and tight after three days cross-country in Africa when newly delivered, but less and less so as the months progressed!

Also, 160kg on a roof rack on dirt roads places a lot of strain on the pillars, which is why on the old Defender, you really wanted to have them mounted to below the waist of the vehicle - hopefully modern safety rules and roll protection have given the new Defender pillars that can cope!

I’m not sure I understood the comment that they first started to look at a Defender replacement in 1971...? Surely at that time they would have actually looking for a Series Three replacement and they achieved that with the 110? ...and it wasn’t a Defender at all until they wanted to a family name to use alongside “Discovery” in the late ‘80s! 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

Apparently a lot of the press Defenders have now been loaned to the Red Cross,
so I expect to see less reviews in future.
