Another lovely day. Been really lucky with the weather so far - rain was expected every day before we left but we’ve had the most glorious of weather. Fjord was flat calm and I could have done with shorts and a vest when we went to see the glacier. See it soon if you’re interested - it’s disappearing fast! I can’t believe the beauty of these Fjords.

Looks like I spoke too soon about the weather. Came back from dinner to find this in my cabin. Shocked

Best way to see the Norwegian Fjords is on the Hurtigruten boats. Small working boats with just a few hundred passengers that can get in to the smaller Fjords and operate as a lifeline to small communities up an down the coast from Bergen to the arctic circle. Food is good, there is NO entertainment, no dressing up and there is even a notice saying that you can't sit at the captain's table. My neighbour has been 7 times! 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Just back from a Canaries cruise with TUI on the Marella Explorer.

Really enjoyed it and a change from P and O, not as formal.

Food good Jules, also inclusive drinks package very good value.

Ship was surprisingly very nice, but weather in Canaries a bit windy !!

I found the food on our P&O cruise this year (Azura, Fjords) to be a very high standard and the few times we paid a little extra for the speciality restaurants, it really was something special. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
