I appreciate it isn't 100% representative of what the real thing will look like but I am sad to say I don't think much of the look in this image.
Part of the issue is the over size wheels and rubber band tyres, never liked that look and for a Land Rover and in particular a Defender it is just wrong!

I hope the real thing looks better else sad to say for the first time in years none of the current range from LR appeal to me. Andrew

Just a Crayon & Paint departments stylistic graphic, the real thing will come with more options for wheels than you can throw a rock at........gotta have a “cool” graphic in the IP Wink Regards

18” is the smallest I’ve seen which is the wheels the Tusk one is running on.

The body itself is 100% what it will look like. To me it looks fab. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Fuji White

The shape illustrated looks 'classic' Land Rover and gets my vote.

I would have never believed it that when, some 50+ years ago, I was driving around an airfield in a draughty early model land Rover that I would, in the future, be yearning after a comfortable (even luxury) version. I think my vote at the time would have been for a Rover 2000. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Please tell me that's a rendering and not the actual thing.
Still just looks like the DC100 but with a squared off front and boxed in lights. Horrendous !!
Looks like something from the 1990's. Mitsubishi Shogun circa 1998.

The colour is Censored but I like the look, the front could’ve been better, IMO the DC100 was a better looking car.

But hey the die hards said no and this is what we’ve got instead.

As I said DC100 was better, but LR tried to cater to the dinosaurs. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Problem is the die hards don't actually buy new Land Rovers. 10 or 15 years later when they become more affordable (and less reliable) that's when the loyal die hards get there hands in their pockets.

It's punters like you and I, the utilities companies, the armed forces, and farmers who want something that is a tool to get the job done. Anything else is a fashion statement, don't get me wrong, the fact that it says LR on the bonnet, and that statement says I put my money (wisely?) in British engineering, and British jobs.

Want a fashion statement buy a diesel RRS, want a sports car buy a petrol RRS.
Want a tool buy a Defender, want a comfortable tool buy a Disco (4).
Want something to economically drag a caravan across Europe or a grassy field, and to get to work every day - buy a FL2
Want a limousine buy a FFRR - any model, just make sure you have deep pockets.

Given up on life, no interest in cars, and want a badge - buy an Evoque.
Fancy a FL2 but get taken in by the "Newest is best" ploy - end up with a DS

For my money, I don't care what the new Defender looks like (it was no picture anyway), I suspect the Utilities company accounts departments, the Armed forces procurement departments, and most farmers don't care either, to me it was like being driven in a old classic car, noisy, cold uncomfortable, living on a reputation long ago earned, and irrelevant in todays traffic.
Granted I don't need one, I need a capable car, not a lumbering tractor. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

And that’s why as I said previously I think this looks like a replacement for the D4 rather than a true Defender.....it’ll do the job no doubt but seems to lack the visual “grunt” of the original.

It’ll sell in bucket loads..... Rolling with laughter Regards
