2008 I believe does not have DPF - mine certainly didn't.

if you have organ pipes you don't have a DPF, that came with 2011 facelift. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Ok. Can the inlet manifold of a none swirl flap [sd4] engine be swapped onto my td4 engine to effectively delete the swirl flaps?

I believe that the change to the post 2011 DPF engine involved a few other changes (ECU, injectors, turbo etc) which affected the emissions. It's not as simple as you suggest. Perhaps someone knows the details? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I'd be very surprised if no one has already looked into this and also swapped the manifolds? The swirl flaps should easily be able to be deactivated by a reputable ecu remapper, the same as an egr is digitally disabled for example.. |

Yes, other than blanking the vacuum pipe I didn't do anything. I've not noticed any difference in the way it runs and its been like that for over a year.

That's excellent news!!! Thank you so much for your help! I'll get searching for a suitable manifold. Am i correct in thinking all sd4 fl2 / evoque (2.2's) are non swirl?

I'm not an expert but I think the Evoque 2.2 are non swirl and Ford. I know the one I picked up came from a Mondeo. Best to search for the part number 9659449480 and make sure its the non swirl version as they have both part numbers stamped on them. |
