I have been systematically replacing all of my lighting with LEDs but didn't really fancy using load resistors for all of the indicators. These things should be avoided in my opinion because they generate a LOT of heat and could potentially present a fire risk in a worst case scenario - if the hazards are left on for a long period of time. So anyway I found these on fleabay a few days ago and decided to give them a try.

Why did landrover stick HB3 halogens in their HSE's and the like but better lamps in so-called 'lower spec models'?
