Be aware some 'Staff Discounts' don't kick in until a length of service has been completed.

I very much doubt you will get any discount within your probationary period.

Can’t you just add it onto your home insurance? I'm pretty sure (on our one anyway) you don’t even have to specify valuables unless they cost more than £1,500. My Tag is on as a general item but my Omega (insured for £6K and my wife’s diamond ring insured for £7K) are covered under all risks and I’m pretty sure I only pay around an extra £60 odd quid a year for the pair of them. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

That Tag F1 is very smart, definitely the metal strap.
I have a Tag Link that I wear as an everyday watch, shouldnt really! If had a spare £1k the F1 would be tempting. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I swear that sometime soon I’ll be posting that I can now get the watch for free Laughing

So, further research has revealed that if I order the watch from Ernest Jones online (I can have it delivered to the store where adjustments can take place) and agree to sign up to their email newsletters, I get 10% off. Therefore the watch gets knocked down to £900 but I then place an order for a £900 gift card with my 17% discount so only have to part with £747.

£253 off the starting price ain’t bad Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Hi Steve D, why has no one mentioned a proper watch, Breitling! I have one and find it absolutely brilliant, not keen on wearing it when welding or shooting or most things really. Maybe me being a bit picky but I think Rolex is a bit common. Dave

Probably because this is a car forum and not an aeronautical one! I wouldn’t mind a Breitling Emergency if I was crossing the desert but not needed on my daily run up the A13. Mr. Green
Hi again, try this one for size.......Hydro-Optic. A few years ago, before my lungs went downhill I used to scuba dive a bit. Behind Southend FCs ground is a dive shop called Bel Air. One of the owners of said shop sold me this watch about 25 years ago, not long apparently before H-O went bust. I can find no information about them other than they made good regs and demand valves and octopus rigs. If you know of anyone who can enlighten me I should be very happy. Hydro-Optic were supposed to have their factory somewhere in Southend. I wondered whether the watches were completely bought-in, or whether they made the cases and bought the guts outside. I shall post pictures of it when I get a few minutes. Dave

Well, I’m on the hunt for a fourth watch for my collection - got the go ahead from the wife. Laughing I’m looking for a SMP 300m. Possibly even a chrono version. I really like the blue faced version. No rush, got to be at the right price though - I refuse to pay full retail for one!

My wife paid £360 for the leather strap and steel clasp for my Speedmaster. Shocked Fitted it myself although to be fair to the Omega boutique, they offered to fit it for me if I took the watch up to them. Rolling Eyes Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
