This is covered somewhere in the forum, it's just a piece of hose but sounds like it comes as part of a kit including one of the exhaust sensors hence the expense. A LR assist guy came to me once when I had a DPF sensor problem and he noticed that the hose was perished (common fault) and muttered that if you are desperate you could wrap some insulation tape around it as a temporary measure. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Have a look on YouTube it’s a common fault that is an easy fix using a piece of fuel hose, don’t let the main dealer rip you off for £240 |

Does anyone know what travels along/through these tubes? If the car runs fine with big holes in them what's their point? MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |

I had mine go a few weeks back. One hose went and I replaced it with fuel hose. That lasted a week, then sods law two more split taking the sensor out too. No other choice than order the full kit from Duckworths.

My DPF sensor went about 12 months ago and the car went into limp home mode - I took it for diagnosis to a local chain who rang Land Rover who advised that the DPF should be changed at a cost of £2700 + VAT. I bought a new sensor for about £100 online and had it fitted for £25 by my local independent and all has been fine for the last 12 months - Talk about rip-off Britain |

Found on an old post highlighted by Dorsetfreelander - this would seem to answer your question as to what they should do BUT I don't understand why they have no effect when split ![]() ![]() "Fiat Lux" a philosophy not a car |

Wondering if there is a tell tale of when the DPF is in it's "self clean" mode. |

I've never known when it's been doing it. Pulling the codes only told me it hadn't been done when the sensor failed. |
