 Well -my leaks back. Will try the smearing of the silicone grease on the existing seal first, then think about putting some of the e profile weather strip on there as well. | ||

 Hello Did you put this on top of the existing foam rubber seals or around the edges of it ? Just wondering if I put it on top it will be too thick for the light to 'snap' back into place Ta | ||||

| westville Member Since: 12 Jun 2015 Location: Dunston Posts: 1096      | I removed all the previous gunk and stuck the profile directly on the lamp - when you press it back on there is enough spring to allow the lamp retaining clips to click into pleace - so far it is holding up well no sign of any further leaks   | ||

 MIght have to resort to this since the silicone grease doesn't seem to be too effective any more after the weekends downpours..At least I know how to remove the light now so can clean it up whilst not fitted to the car | ||||

Remember to clean surfaces before you stick it back on the light unit and apply a little wipe of Vaseline to the bodywork.

I did rub it with ims though but msybe not enough. Ive got sellotape on the outside now in these downpours ! Poor show | ||
