When I changed my red one to a clear version I found I really had to press it home hard to get it to engage properly, almost to the point of fearing it would break, maybe some are just not seated correctly? Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again......

It’s quite a positive click in so I think it’s seating properly. Maybe I should have cleaned more of the old glue off, but got as much as I could with solvent. The rest would have to come off with abrasive paper !.

When mine started to leak, I bought one of the seals of ebay but never fitted it. When I took the rear light of it was pretty dirty so I cleaned it up and where it sits, let it dry out completely then sprayed it with silicon to see how that went. Hasn't leaked in the last 6 months.

Just put some duck tape (2 layers) directly on to the metal of the door around the opening , as Jack Frost suggested and it’s a much tighter fit when you press the light home, so hopefully that’s it . If not, it’s the e profile window seal as the last attempt. What a poor design !

I used this on a window this week and am going to seal my high level light with it.

You could get a knife under the edge and peel it off if needed.

I guess so, but I'm going to try the E-profile window seal tape that Westville on here recommended and see how that goes.
Will have to clean all the gunk off the back of the light first to make sure this window stuff sticks to it. Its rubberised sealing tape so shouldn't let any water in if attached properly ???
