Freelander 2 with high mileage

Hello guys.
One guy offers to me Fleelander 2 (2011, 2.2 diesel, automatic) with cambelt failure. Engine is not problem for me, over 10 years i'm engines mechanic. I have experience with Freelander 1 Jatco automatic gearboxes too. My question is about high mileage of this car (270.000km or 170.000mi). Cannot test this car because engine not working. Body seems ok. Here i attached some pictures. It is worth to try?

Looks in nice condition, but as a mechanic I'd say you would be the best person to judge if its worth the price. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

It looks in good condition, if you are capable/confident to do the engine rebuild (or replace) and you are happy with the price go for it.

if the engine is not working, see what a new engine would cost and go from there to see if its worth it, nobody else can guide you on it

If not, just buy it, after all the pictures look ok and its not my money Laughing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

It is certainly very clean underneath, almost too clean for a car that has done that mileage. I would try to calculate it's normal value as a high mileage running vehicle and then subtract the cost of a replacement engine or rebuild at normal garage rates.
You should assume the worst case eg is there also piston damage from the valves? At high miles these cars can have camshaft failure so you need to decide if was the cambelt that actually failed (unusual as it's usually caused by the waterpump or tensioners). Is the cambelt available to inspect? What does the waterpump and tensioners feel like?
If you do decide to replace the engine then remember that the 2011 engine had some subtle differences to earlier ones (eg injectors and perhaps camshaft timing) as it was lower emissions and the engine/gearbox management systems would need to be compatible. The earlier engines had "organ pipes" sticking out of the intake pipe on the top.

PS has it got 16" wheels on it? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

Thanks guys for answers. Yeah i think it's worth to try.
To be honest, i will tell full story (sorry for my maybe not perfect English).
I am owner or Rover service (www.rover-remontas.lt) here for 10 years, rovers are my hobby.
One month ago i found one very interesting car in Germany, Freelander 1 with low mileage (88.000km), V6 2.5 177ps, automatic, 2006 registration. Car had problem with cambelt (camshaft sprocket was broken). I fixed it all, now my wife tried that car and she likes it (she wants good 4x4 instead her last bmw and problems with rwd and snow). One guy offered that FL2 for my FL1.

My FL1:
