Don't know, for the fourth year we are having Xmas dinner at the Red Lion in Burnsall, it actually saves us money after years of providing for all, I just have to chip in £120 plus our share of the drinks bill. I'm not a big drinker either so I don't mind it being my turn to drive home this year. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

On cold Xmas day a few years ago I was at work and the wife rang to say the central heating and cooker had stopped. After inspecting the oil tank she reported it to be empty. Gosh I thought there must be a leak cos I thought we had plenty of oil. She proceeded to chop up logs all day and carry them into the house and attempt heat the living room with our wood burner and cook on the small electric hob. When I got home in the evening I discovered that the valve linking the 2 oil tanks (I have 2 in parallel) was turned off and the 2nd tank was still full (it doesnt have a gauge).

Bit of an experiment this year, ordered from the local butcher who has his own farm, very good meat, much denser than UK meat and less fat but very tasty and tender, the rumour is that Cyprus turkeys (the only reference to turkey accepted in the south |

Didn't get a bloody say on it! She went out today to 'get a few bits' and came back with a fresh turkey. It's roosting in the lower half of the fridge at present but now she's worrying whether it will keep fresh until Christmas Day! According to the sticker, It's good until the 28th but that's not enough leeway for her - she's thinking of freezing it! Over my dead body. If it goes off, it's all down to her. She's worried! ![]() Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto Present: Audi A3 S Line. |
