New Electric Seats Connection????

i have purchased electric seats for my basic model 58 plate. i have been sent the ends to all the leads which i can connect but want to know will there be anywhere to plug the lead ends into?

also i have got a new air conditioner controller with the heated seat button on it, is it just a matter of swapping them over?

i have added pics to my gallery

STOP SHOUTING!

Others more expert will be along shortly no doubt, but I don't think you'll have the wiring in an S model to connect your seat's plugs to?

The GS models apparently have the loom for electric seats but NOT the heated part. And I believe you need the CCF editing to enable your new switches, assuming you can wire them in. It's only a switched live and earth, I guess..

In order to get seats to work in your S you are going to need to run in 2 x live feeds, 1 x ground and a twisted pair for Canbus. I recommend you copy original wiring for seats ( check out wiring diagram sticky). So that will require a switched live from passengers footwell fuse box (to power seats), a permanent live from rear fuse box (to power relay) ground can be picked up below console. For Canbus you need to buy or make a twisted pair and you can break into canbus below carpet at side of seats. Don't cut the canbus, carefully strip back some insulation and wrap your twisted pair round then finish with some insulation tape. Would recommend you only take this on if proficient in electrics, other wise find a local auto spark.
You won't have Canbus wiring for heated seats so not a simple job, 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

yes - but only in that you can get the extra connectors that you need from them and fit them into your existing seat loom plugs to make connecting your extra feeds easier 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

Worth noting - there are airbags in seats so treat them with respect -dont go probing casually with meter or or live wires or you may risk creating backfeeds 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

You will need to run an additional 15 amp switched supply to each seat loom plus a 5 amp permanent live to HVAC panel along with a twisted pair connected to Canbus. Don't take this the wrong way but I think you would be best finding a good auto spark if you are not familiar with electrics 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

My friend is electrician. He said he'll give it a bash if he understands. I thought it would be bit easier if I took the cables from the car with the seats but doesn't seem like it lol. Thanks for your advice.

Tell him to get the required connectors from connectors you got with seats, take the red tabs out of car seat loom plugs and he can click them into place. Makes the connections easier. Give him copy of wiring diagram
