I seem to recall the headlamp washer operates every 5th screen wash. Juat give your screenwash a couple of blips and the headlamps will get their turn! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

I think it's more complex than that, I read somewhere that it depends on a number of factors including a time delay. I have tried doing a few extra squirts and it won't come on. I find it quite unpredictable. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

The frequency of headlamp washes to screen washes is increased when a Terrain Response Special Programme is selected. Think it goes to 1 in 3 rather than 1 in 5. |

Leads me onto the next question the washer spray is strong but without the P38A style wipers how effective is the spray on its on removing the muck |

Surely if you're going into a dirt situation you'd have a rag or something to wipe them over with before you drive off? |

The headlamp washers are nothing more than a device to satisfy EU legislation, if you want clean headlamps then get out and clean them, the jet washer system is ineffective |
