Head lights

Hi can anyone tell me why there are those long plastic clips on the back of the headlights ,only i have had one fall off and drop down inside the plastic trim arond the drivers sid front wheel , Bow down

They're for releasing the headlight for when you need to take them out ..... eg bulb changing. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

Wasnt sure if i need to get new ones ,they are a but of a pain ,especially on the drivers side getting my hands in the restricted space ,thank you

One of mine broke also but I found that all it does is lift a restraining clip which I could reach and release by hand anyway. It's made from stupidly brittle plastic as well which doesn't help.

Yeah, happened to me a while back, Dan from Duckworths was able to provide a replacement for around 4 quid posted after mine snapped. No choice but to buy replacement really.
If you do order, remember to quote which side you need (drivers or passenger)

Thanks ordered some from stratstone Cardiff £1.72 each ,rubbish plastic ,cheep and flimsy ,not really up to the job Bow down Bow down

Why? I won't be replacing mine when it's so easy to release the headlamp by reaching down to the latch. Which is exactly what I did immediately after mine snapped off.

On a proper Landrover it would have been fixed with a length of baler twine. Thumbs Up 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Were the mud is thicker, and the ruts are deeper.
(And we have the water to wash it off, and more on the way..! )

Or maybe fence wire would be more appropriate. Or the equivalent in and around the home.....wire coat hanger. Wink

Ordered 4 from Stratstone lol they only have 1 as they are on back order from the factory ,you couldn't make it up 👹👹👹. What's the point in unicorns 🦄🦄🦄
