I presume the FL2 had to tow the Honda up the gravel hill cause it sure didn't get there on its own!!!

I drove both freelander and CR-V. I must say the CR-V has a more stylish interior than the FL. My first choise was a freelander, after having a d3, but when I found out the price I started to favorite the new outlander, then my eyes fell on the cr-v. Freelander: very disappointed about the interior and mainly the price. Outlander: too noisy above 2800rpm and poor finishing of the interior CRV: nice car, well specced, price acceptable - only disadvantage is that it's made for the road. But if you have a LR discovery in the garage, you mainly want a car that is cheaper to drive. For the bad roads here and the tough winter, the crv will perfom exellent. So I ordered the CRV top executive.... |

See Pelyma, I took your advice and tested the mitsu AND the freelander. And I forgot about the mitsu. But in the end I choose a soft-roader with a better price but the same on-road properties as the FL. Another thing is, I don't want to drive BOTH cars two hours to the nearest decent service. For an execptional car as the discovery is, i am prepared to do this, but not for the freelander. |

Freelander price is its problem I'm afraid, it is a bit steep, but if you are a badge 'snob' you will pay it..... |
