I made the same comment to my wife. We rewound and looked for the tyre marks. From what we could make out, they looked like tracked vehicles. |

There have been rumours all three want out, perhaps an easy way without breaking contracts, tough on the producers nose, but if you don't know when to duck, must be your fault |

At the end of the day he may be a bit un PC, but he often actually makes a lot of sense - more so in his columns than on tv .

What's the world coming to when a privileged, white, middle aged, middle class, overpaid, racist, homophobic idiot who plays up to the guffawing moronic classes could end up losing his highly paid job on national telly just for thumping a work minion? |

The BBC spent a lot of money, £millions, to buy the production company from Clarkson and his wife, this made it easier to franchise or sell the UK programme world wide. Irrespective of the UK audience the value to BBC worldwide runs into millions per year and helps produce more programmes. There are two arms to the BBC, the broadcast side, (what we watch or listen to) and the commercial side which makes programmes and sells programmes worldwide, some in conjunction with other companies and broadcasters, it may well be that Top Gear continues but not in the UK. The broadcast side may well decide that Top Gear is not PC, but the commercial side consider that it makes money and it is the broadcasters who buy it can take the flack for non PC presentation, so Top Gear on Sky? could easily happen. Clarkson was made by his wife, problem is he now seems to believe what she made him into, I very much doubt he would be a TV presenter had she not changed his journalistic style that made him become noticed. Vauxhall and the British motor industry took a hit in his early forays and helped the Japanese industry, The British industry didn't help themselves and no one mentioned the Japanese vehicles rusted so quickly they didn't get time to be unreliable. |
