I would be surprised if Clarkson is actually "employed " by the BBC anyway. Most people like him work for their own company and it wouldn't take much much to recreate a similar show as was done with "Fifth Gear" . the BBC probably owns the Top Gear brand but my bet is that he is already talking to other broadcasters about some form of come back. After all his name is as familiar as the show itself. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I can't see May & Hammond continuing without Clarkson. It's a package. It's over.

I believe Clarkson / Wilman sold rights to TG to the BBC a year or so back. So the BBC could create a new TG with any presenter but TBH it wouldn't be the same. ...

Don't think the Beeb had any other option unpopular as the decision might be. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice. |

Haven't read any papers in years, too many lies. If it is now acceptable behaviour to punch someone you work with then we have really reached a low in society. |

"Spineless, gutless", I think the Beeb was anything but. They knew his popularity, they knew he was the draw for the programme but they did what was right and sacked him and if the other two jump ship hopefully it will be far out at sea when they do.
