Help - Replace cloth seats with leather electric

Have picked these up to go in my 2011 GS to replace non electric cloth interior
Can't find a previous answer but I'm sure someone here has done this already- so how do I go about getting power to seats?
Cheers

Sorry, I've no idea but would be very interested in doing this mod myself, should a decent set of seats turn up.
So will be watching this thread with interest.
Good luck Thumbs Up

Btw Jim, if it gets too much hassle or you can't be bothered to do, I could give your seats a new home. Wink

Just get a car already wired to put those seats in. Sorry could not resist saying it. Can you get hold of a wiring diagram and work from that? Ex 2010 Freelander2 GS-e Diesel manual Silver owner

I'm curious too ( although I have some in mine ).

I suspect you can wire them basically with out the memory feature but you may need do do some thing for the seat heater.

I've always thought that if 'push comes to shove' and getting the electrics to work would be too difficult/expensive, you'd just utilise the front leather seats and fit to your existing front seat bases.
You'd obviously have no electrics, but at least you'd be able to adjust manually, just as you do now.
Electrics are certainly no big thing for me, as once it's set I wouldn't really use them. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Hi Jim,
Not so familiar with Freelanders at the moment, but have had many years of retrofitting Mercedes.
A similar retrofit in a UK merc would mean an additional wiring loom.
I am looking at the HSE wiring diagram now and it seems it is sold with memory pack and heating pack.
Do you have either on your car?
What wiring do you have at present (have you checked?)

Joe Fix it until it's broke !

Looks like all modules etc are fitted in seat base, would be happy to just get the seat adjustment working, not concerned about heater, memory etc. if it's a ball breaker. Only me drives it. 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)

have you tried powering them up on a workbench there can't be any more than 4 wires under them, 2 for the power supply for motors and 2 for heated element

I asked a similar question some time ago,I have a 2013my XS with manual seats although they are full leather there is a mass of wiring on the base of the seat so maybe the loom is already there but of course there may also be differences between model years, does anyone know? Shocked

Might be an idea to ask on the Disco forum whether anyone's done this mod on a D3?
If they have, then that would give you a rough indication for the FL2.
Just a thought Thumbs Up

Great minds and all that Ron, that's just where I've been. From what I can find there a few guys have done it in Dicos without much trouble ( although one guy did change full loom!) not a member so was just lurking 2014 SE Loire Blue SD4 Auto (MY15)
