Only the TV screen as we watched BBC2 from 18.30 to 23.15 .Very moving programme from Mons. Ditto Westminster Abbey apart from Eddie Butler talking over the violinist towards the end of the service. Likewise, my grandad wasn't! he was home guard in WWII, his farther I'm not sure, I never met him, but my great gran never spoke about her husband to my then young knowledge

My Gran's brother Ernie went down on the Black Prince. Great Aunt's Husband joined Grenadier Guards and went to war with jet black hair. He returned home with a full head of white hair which is as I remember him. Never spoke about the war though.
