I've started

Gave the chair a good rub down with p240 w&d paper, wiped over with panel degreaser and then went out and bought some newspaper ( I recommend 'i' it's 20p) taped up and gave it a coat of primer

It seemed to be dry 30 mins later so I set about with the Matt black rattle can

I used a lot more of this as covering the grey primer evenly, that and the broke nozzle that made it drip

Got 2 done tonight, primed painted and a clear lacquer ontop

Don't think the paint will have been fully hardened that takes 24 hours, but thought sod it the paint and lacquer can dry at the same time, the paint was touch dry and said could recoat after 20 mins, didn't say anything about using the same paint though

After a sand down, and a wipe over with panel wipe, as prep, I have used nearly 3 black so far, 1 and a bit grey primers and 1 Matt lacquer on 3 chairs

Just one coat of primer, one black with extra layers in the high wear areas, and only used the lacquer on the arms and legs and a mist over the back areas

Though I did give up on newspaper and just bought some wider masking tape

It might not last, only time will tell, but cheaper than spending a grand or more on new set Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I really like the chairs too. Comfortable and really easy to jet wash. Had mine for over 8 years and I still haven't found any I like more.

Quality seems ok, you inflate the top ring, then add water, it has a filter system but no heater

But for £35 from Costco then it worth the punt, started filling at 5:30pm this evening, finish 21:30 3400L on a water meter too about £7 based on £0.002 pence per litre YW website gave

Have also spent £20 on a ladder from tesco direct to aid getting in and out and hopefully protect the inflatable ring and sides

Been looking at cheap ways to heat it also, solar heaters look good, basically 200ft of black pipe which you pump water around in the sun, and the water heats up on its journey through

My laser temp gauge has put it at 16c on the rubber side and grey cover that goes over it, I think water might be cooler though
