Hi all,

Could anyone give me any tips on cleaning the interior and carpets? Any help will be much appreciated. (Sorry for all of the questions, I'm a complete novice. )

I use a solution of all purpose cleaners and a stiff brush, just using the foam and not the water, as getting things too wet can lead to tide marks, ( on my seats on FL2.1) never did head linings, carpets same way Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I need to look at my head lining so I guess I need to do some research at some point....

Any way - for the OP and at the risk of sounding like I'm on another well known forum......

I'm lucky enough to have a Vax Carpet cleaner with a nosle attachment. After brushing both carpets and mats down and then hoovering I find using this with the actual Vax solution ( v cheap ) really good.

Further more after I had done this I've protected the carpets with some Autoglym solution ( made by 3M ) which makes next time around a bit easier.

If you have leather seats ( or trim for that matter ) do not use water on those as it will dry out....

Could I use vanish carpet powder stuff on the carpet? Then they won't get wet. Or is there any good products for cleaning the interior?

i used 1001 foam, pet spray for cleaning carpets after my son was sick on them a few years ago, i was very happy with the results, especially as there was not a smell left at all Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I use the local Polish guys,

£6 for a wash, £20 for a good velet,

no idea how they do it for the money.

They get a kick back from the local body shop when it needs respraying

I find that a small amount of Autoglym interior cleaner and a cloth works well on the smooth surfaces but agitate the spray with a nail brush on the dimpled or more dirty areas. don't use it on leather though as it takes out the natural oils. If you have a really dirty bit use Autoglym Engine cleaner sprayed on and left to soak in a little or agitate if necessary.
I sound like a bl dy Atoglym salesman, which I ain't. Got to go, need to clean and polish me golf clubs for tomorrow. What with? fairy liquid and a brush! Ralph

My roof lining at the rear is slightly pebble dashed by the dog having a good old shake, tried a car upholstery cleaner but results are not that good.
Any suggestions?
Must admit to wiping, should I be brushing?
