Engine oil 2011 with DPF

Hi, can you tell me what spec engine oil I need for a 2011 td4 with DPF I called my dealer today but they never got back to me.

Hi you need any 5W-30 C1 oil which meets or exceeds WSS-M2C934-B. Use any good brand.Regards. M.

DPF fitted, oil must meet this spec, Ford WSS M2C 934-B

Non DPF, oil must meet this spec, Ford WSS M2C-913-C

EDIT: I was slow in posting but two answers the same doubles the chance of them being right Thumbs Up

I own a 58 FR2, none dpf. Have been using shell helix 5w 30 WSS-M2C913-B (semi). The WSS M2C-913-C grade oil. Is that fully synthetic oil & does it superceed the B grade? Just states B grade in my handbook.

The Ford spec WSS M2C-913-C is fully synthetic and is backward compatible with those using B or A. I can only assume that as oils and their additives improve LR goes with the flow. Thumbs Up

So any make of oil with C spec should be OK to use then? Comma etc. As it seems cheaper than shell, my car out of warranty & I use an indi for servicing Thumbs Up

That's right, any make of the correct viscosity that meets the Ford spec will do the job.
