To me, the garage I buy a car from/use for servicing is just as important than the car itself.

How about a bold move and going for a Subaru Legacy or Outback?

Seem to remember reading that you get lots of torque steer and that they eat tyres but that might have been the Aero saloon. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold. MY 15 SD4 SE Auto Orkney Grey with colour coded Bumper Door Mouldings |

Not such a bold move - Subarus are pretty good cars. I've owned an Impreza and a Forester, and my brother is on his third Outback (a top-of-the-range 3 litre flat 6) and loves it - apart from the running costs. And that's their main problem - don't expect them to be cheap to run. Routine maintenance is expensive, and fuel consumption not particularly good. Other than that, they may not have the style of an Audi or BMW, but they'll keep going after those have ground to a halt. |

Not a fan of the Subaru, cheap looking interiors. |

Given the choice of sitting in a snowdrift with a plush interior or ploughing through it in a cheap-looking one I know which I'd go for! Besides, the high-end Outbacks aren't bad at all. |

I am really not bothered about driving in the snow. If it snows I don't go anywhere simples |

Do bare in mind Saab backup may be patchy if anything goes wrong...no official dealer network anymore.
