When I moved the car out of the yard, I backed into a steel gate post I knew was there - and the beeps told me too!  Only damage to the rear bumper and my pride however.  B  | ||

 Each is case is judged on its merits, the case was cited merely for its principle. I haven't read the entire case so I will ask my lecturer what the grounds for appeal were. It's a bit like citing Sym v Stretch 1936 2 All ER 1237 for the best definition of a defamation by Lord Atkin. In that case, the claim was defeated but it still stands as the definition.
