4 or 5 seats

Had a letter from Landrover today asking me to return my car docs to DVLA and new docs will be issured showing 5 seats, sent today, anyone heard from L/R? David

yes dave i also recieved a letter from l/rover my docs, have now been sent back ..from davy DRIVE WITH CARE

Don't forget to check your VIN when you send your V5 back!

My car VIN ends in 3, but the V5 ends in 8

In my hand book on page 210 its shows the 2 locations.

1) Viewed from outside at the bottom of front windscreen passenger side.

2) Bottom of 'B' pillar passenger side.

I got my car last month and had a cherished number plate transfer as well.
Just checked my V5 document and it says 5 seats.

Does this mean that Nov onwards the DVLA will have the correct number of seats on V5s?

The letter from Land Rover refers to cars registered prior to April 07.
But I think that the previous thread on this subject ( http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic777.html ) proved that some later registrations had the same problem. Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

You are right, it will pay all members to check their docs, if it states 4 people then only 4 people covered for insurance!!!, also could be a problem when selling

speak to landrover, they send you a form out and a prepaid envelope. I would have thought it was corrected by now Shocked Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
