I was parking in a particularly small gap last night between a Q7 and a rather expensive looking Merc when I noticed that the beep from the rear sensors kept cutting in and out.

My sensors will bleep if I get closer than 6" to a wall Im parking against down the sides and not before, but if Im backing or head on to a wall the bleeps start at about 3ft and go continuous at 12" away, which is exactly how I would expect them to be. Ive found that a splatted fly on the sensor can affect their operation though. |

parking sensors are for guidance only and should not be totally relied on.
