No that isn't the issue. It happens when I am working on site driving over bumpy ground. Thanks for trying.

However; upon reflection, this may be the issue. When I am on site, I also get in and out a lot more? I tried a test of driving around over bumps to see what happened, and the evidence was inconclusive. I'm on to LR customer services, because either way it is not fit for purpose.

I'm having the same problem with my 2010 GS! I thought i was going mad till I read this!!!

Will be ringing customer service tomorrow.

i found out by driving a 2 and half hour trip up to northumberland.

pumped the seat right up and once there tried to pump it up and no movement as fully pumped up!

i then got in and out of the car a good number of times.

checked again and indeed it had dropped.

just put your hand under your leg when first stepping out, you will find that your leg depresses the handle downwards.

hence the seat dropping issue!

Still bad design......  Anyhoo off oot on me mobike.....

A nice guy from the German LR-Forum has made a simple and easily removable blocker for the height-adjustment of the seat. He was so friendly to offer this gadget for little money to co-suffering GS-Drivers Scroll down a little bit after opening the link and you will see the pics

LR dealer who done my last service placed a small section of wood wrapped in gaffer tape under the handle...at first I thought it just improved the dropping issue, but since i've not bothered to take it back in for some time I have to confess to the problem being cured. I haven't pumped the seat back up for thousands of miles and I use it off road on stubble fields etc. as well.

If your car is out of warranty this will cure the dropping issue without fail Obviously it needs to be removed to lower the seat but being as i'm the only driver it causes me no hassle. If anyone needs the dimensions let me know and i'll fish out the tape measure.

Ok so yesterday i was going round a roundabout when the seat sunk quite quick!

Rang Land Rover and they have agreed to give me a replacement car till they get the new seat in mine which is on back order! It's gonna be at-least a week!!

Mine keeps going down too.
Hope 'er indoors takes the hint

They have changed the seat but for another punp one!!

UPDATE : Well it started going down as predicted! So they are finally supplying and fitting the Hybrid seat! Hopefully that will do the trick! Anyone got any pics of what this seat looks like??
