well.

The guy at guy salmon told me that he has had a couple of these seat issues, and they have all been resolved by replacing the base of the seat.

So the new base is on order, and hopefully I will get it booked in for next week and let you know if it has fixed it! Anyhoo off oot on me mobike.....

Yes just sorted mine out and to be honest I think this base seems higher than the last one....maybe psychological perhaps?

The 3rd dealer I have approached about this in a year plus Land Rover customer service deny any seat problems with the FL2. The last dealer says I need to photograph the seat (not sure how that will help!).

Just spoke to LR customer service, they now admit there 'may' be a seat problem in certain models. They'll come back to me in 48 hrs with a solution. They indicated either a new seat base or an electric seat.

Just got back from Guy Salmon to have the base changed on my seat....

Got a call to say they have ordered the wrong base! they have the back/forward one instead of the up/down one!

Bloody useless waste of a morning and time and fuel!!! Evil or Very Mad

They say there are on back order and it could now be up to 3 weeks!

Will update again once fitted!!! Anyhoo off oot on me mobike.....

At least you have been given a timescale I am waiting for a new electric seat but they do not know when it will arrive I have already been waiting two weeks. As mentioned earlier I have already had a new seat base fitted it would'nt surprise me if there are two types that they have fitted the wrong one in the meantime I sink a little bit every day not satisfactory and poor for what is supposed to be top end car maker Fuji White GS 12 privacy glass leather retrim

Got back from Charles Hurst on Friday. The good news is that Land Rover issued a bulletin about possible Freelander 2 seat problems a while ago, now I know it wasn't me imagining my seat going down and pumping my seat up every half hour. The car has to go back in 2 weeks for checking before a replacement base is fitted at a later date. This includes me being photographed in the car (????) and the seat being left for 8 hours in a certain position.

I have already had a new seat base fitted and they have taken photographs of me in the seat as you can see from my earlier posts the only cure according tp LR is to have an electric seat fitted which I am waiting for them to arrange Fuji White GS 12 privacy glass leather retrim

I'm not aloe then. I thought it was only when I was driving off road. initially thought someone was altering it, then realised it was altering itself. Another niggle to add to the smalll list. Indus Silver
