Hi Mav, can you tell me how you remove the seat squab. Bow down I need to remove
mine to get the leather replaced, so if I can save a bit on labour charges??? Thumbs Up

In bolt the front of the seat from the floor, disconnect the seat belt like I have done above. Then the base is held on by 4 screws if I remember correctly.

Hi Mav. From the picture it looks like Steve is removing something from the back of the seat, with the
caption that you don't have to remove the seat to remove base. I'm a bit confused Confused Confused

Hi Mav,

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the MY13 fog light surrounds?

Cheers

Bolts are at the front, then you have to move the seat from the location points at the back of the seat. Then the screws can be removed. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Great thread...

Question: reading the part about the steering wheel trim, you mention to dab the spline to mark the position of the wheel. But you don't say how to get the wheel of the column... Is there a big nut or something?

Thanks!!

A few new pics after an 8 hour detailing session!

I think I must have spent 8 hours over the weekend giving the Land Rover a full detail inside and out, to get the winter crap off!

She is now over 6 1/2 years old with 59000 miles on it. So she is ageing well!

I think she will keep us going for another year! But I am really tempted to go for the 10 years of ownership! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

No problem! At one end, the mouldings locate into the shape of the door skin. Then peel off and stick on. I measured a car that had them from the factory to ensure the other end was at the right height.

Yes, one nut. Undo it and the wheel comes off. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Looking good! Bow down Your car looks younger than mine, even though mines only 19 months old! I got my car washed yesterday and its shine has been restored. I need new windscreen now, Big Cry I massive chip hit the corner of the windscreen and a crack has formed. Big Cry

I would keep your car, if it doesn't become unreliable. Maybe you should wait for the new FL3?

Chris

To be honest Chris, that is what I am tempted to do. It is only 2 years away now as the new one arrives in spring/summer 2015.

So as we were planning to keep ours for another 12 months anyway, what is an extra year when we have had it this long! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I just ensure that any marks are not left for ages and generally keep on top of it.

You won't avoid creases in leather, but just ensure your seat foams are good. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
