I believe they need to be informed of the modification. I'm sure it'll bump up the insurance, but it's more like a down-grade other than a super hi spec upgrade.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there anyway to cancel this warning light? Some say it will only light up when using the drive train functions .

I haven't got a price yet, but after talking with some garages they say it's common round here to take the propshaft out, it doesn't harm the car and I seem to have gained on fuel consumption.

It turned out to be the propshaft bearings.. So the propshaft is off for the time being.

Thanks for replying, I agree....a second look at all the parts fitted. Ball joint/strut mount bearing/bush could be suspects. I shall get to the bottom of this....I will update when progress is made.
