Black wheels would look good, but I don't think the dark chrome will take any powder coating.

I nearly asked the dealer to swap the wheels down to 18"s so I could get goodyear wranglers, but i'm pretty glad I stuck with the dark chrome 19"s, I will just get some 17"s for winter, with proper tyres on them. SD4 Sport LE Firenze Red - no options or modifications yet, but it's early days.

i dont like the black side vents, not too bad on the white or black LE Sports but doesnt look right to me on the red. Still like the Rimini Red compared to Firenza but would reserve judgement until i saw one in the flesh. Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

Not seen them side by side, but I may go and park up against one if I get the opportunity, I think the Firenza red is a little lighter and has more metal flake.

I like the grilles in black but the one thing I would change is the front grille as I personnally think it should be completely black, not black and gunmetal, minor gripe really. Still loving the car. MPG has settled down to around 38 which seems reasonable with a mix of motorway, shopping runs and commuting, it's just the premium for deisel over petrol that upsets me now. SD4 Sport LE Firenze Red - no options or modifications yet, but it's early days.

Yes you are right the front grille would probably look better being completely black. The reason I think it is like this is because the TD4 versions are completely gunmetal whereas the SD4 has chrome slats in the gunmetal frame (which looks really neat), therefore I think they got the spray can out on 500 SD4 grilles and sprayed the chrome black.

Are you sure you haven't been listening to conversations in my office, before I picked it up everyone at work reckoned it looked pink in the photograps. and took the p ss out of my colour choice.
