England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

Had front and rear sensors and a button on both mine. As far as I can recall as per my previous post the sensor keeps beeping as long as it senses an obstruction. Today reversing out of a parking space the front sensor beeped until I was clear of the car in the next space. The rear sensor beebs until you move away from the obstruction and then stops once clear or you switch it off.

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Lago Grey

FL2 XS 10 reg:

Reversing up to wall until constant beep.
Tone does not turn off when put into neutral - only when you push the button on the dash or stop the engine.
When you start the car again - no beep. (unless you put it into reverse gear).

Hope that helps !

still a little confused....

so on a manual if you reverse into a space againt the wall using sensors, stop while they are beeping, and put car out of reverse and into neutral the sensors are still beeping??

To stop mine beeping in neutral I have to press the button on the dash (or obviously move fowards away from the wall out of range of sensors).

Anyone with a manual confirm thiers is the same or diffrent?

Thanks again for all the help guys.

Mines Manual, as soon as you select reverse, ALL sensors front and rear become active, that is why when you are reverse parking into a space and the front swings close to an obstuction the fronts will sound also, even if you then select forwards or neutral the system is still active but will not beep if there is nothing to set it off. The system will stay active until you get above I think its 5mph or you turn off the ignition or press the button on the dash. If I have taling SWMBO to the shop, I reverse into a space and select neutral but leave the engine running on a cold day, if anyone walks close to the front or rear it sets the sensors off. Thumbs Up

Auto - 2008 model.
Selecting reverse activates the parking sensors and a test beep tells you they are working.
Reverse up to the wife and all hell breaks loose (with sensors not the wife)
Put into neutral and the sensors are still screaming, if she walks away they stop if she walks back they start again.
Put into drive and the sensors still scream until X mph is reach/door locking

Remember when driving forwards onto a space you can put them on without putting it into reverse just by pressing the button on the dash Thumbs Up
