Keen to hear about this - there is always a load of competing info on the web about these sorts of modules, what control & display elements of the car work etc. - would be amazing (but i fear too good to be true) to control via the satnav touch screen?

Also interested in this new module. Price looks to be expensive from the limited research I have done on the web, but if functionality works as well as it does in the Discovery 4 (via the Sat Nav Screen) then I suspect its a price I would be prepared to pay.

A lot. (At a guess)

Found it on one of the sites in the US and it was $ 339.00. Expect £ 299.00 plus fitting. £ 450.00??? Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

I'll have it in my HSE which is due for collection at the end of the month. List price before any negotiation is £315.18 which includes fitting but excludes VAT

Sounds like the website may be confused between the Disco 4 iPod kit, and the Fl2 kit.

Would wonder how it can be controlled through the sat nav, when the sat nav doesn't control the stereo.

I guess it's possible, and would be very good.

Would be interested to find out

iPod

Just picked up my HSE yesterday which was supposed to be fitted with the new iPod interface. Unfortunately they've fitted the old one, which was a trifle annoying. They are ordering the new version today and swapping it out so watch this space. Probably M55 MPN will beat me to it, so I'd be interested to hear how good it is. The old one is a bit naff.

I'm now a bit dubious having read the blurb properly. "Located in the driver’s centre armrest" is going to be a neat trick in a Freelander 2! Have to wait and see.

I went to see my local Landrover dealer because was interested in having this fitted to the FL2. They came up with a new part number VPLFE002 and said cost was £265.00

I am somewhat dubious about this now (inc. the new part number), what is entailed and the functionality etc (as has been mentioned previously sounds like theres some confusion between DIsco4 version and FL2 so am trying to do a bit more digging before committing.
